Patna: Film star and BJP leader Shatrughn Sinha’s made distance from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar 125th birth annivarsary rally in Patna today. Conspicuous absence of Sinha has given rise to indications of a rift between leaders in BJP’s Bihar unit.
According to close sources to Sinha, in the eleventh hour he was invited in the rally, so that he would not attend the rally in his home turf on account of a prior engagement despite being present in the city for two days.
When asked about the question of Sinha absence, Bihar’s BJP leader Sushil Modi said party did not indulge in posters and local leaders themselves arranged for campaign material.
Didn’t miss the chance to take a swipe at Sinha’s sidelining, Bihar Chief Minister and JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar said when the party didn’t honour Sinha, how would it give respect party workers.
