New Delhi:Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit cyclon effected area on Friday. Speaking in Lok Sabha Singh informed that he is in touch with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. He assured center will provide all possibility of help. Atleast 50 people killed and more than 2500 people were injured due to cyclonic storm.
Earlier NCP member Tariq Anwar, Congress MP Ranjita Ranjan and others member of house were raised this questions and requested to Home Minister to visit the effected area to take stock of the situation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and assured all assistance from the Central government after storm hit many parts of the state.“Spoke to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar ji on situation arising due to storms in various parts of the state. Assured all assistance from Centre,” Modi tweeted.
At least 32 people have been killed and around 100 injured on Tuesday night when nor’wester ravaged several districts, destroying thousands of huts and standing crops.
Nitish Kumar has announced compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of those killed.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi has also expressed deep anguish over the havoc caused by the cyclonic storm in Bihar. She asked the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee and the frontal organisations of the party to do everything possible to provide immediate relief and succour to the affected people.
