New Delhi : Alarmed over the massive growth of population in some part of the country, Narendra Modi Government will organise mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law summit for real time of sex to control the populations. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P.Nadda said today, government has decided also to set up a committee to look into the causes of the enormous fertility rate in these areas and how to check the tendency.
Nadda said that 146 districts in the country have shown unprecedented population growth. These districts are in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Jharkhand and Rajasthan.
“Government will set up a committee to probe causes of the surprising fertility rate in these districts”, said the minister while showcausing the achievement of his ministry in 3 years of NDA government.
“These 146 districts, contribute to 28% of India’s population, 25-30% of maternal deaths and 50% of infant deaths.”
“In 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh, 8 districts of Bihar, 2 districts each of Madhya pradesh and Rajasthan, Total Fertility Rate is more than 4” said Nadda.
“Moreover 19 districts of Uttar Pradesh, 9 districts of Bihar, 6 districts each of Madhya pradesh and Rajasthan, 3 districts of Jharkhand and one district each of Chhattisgarh and Assam have Total Fertility Rate of 3.5 to 3.9” he elaborated.
Nadda also said that 27 districts of Uttar Pradesh, 20 districts of Bihar, 17districts of Madhya pradesh, 6 districts each of Rajasthan and Jharkhand and one district each of Chhattisgarh and Assam show Total Fertility Rate between 3.0 to 3.5.
TFR has a direct correlation with MMR and IMR. The greater is the TFR, the more will be the MMR and IMR. Hence, reducing the TFR would lead to decrease in maternal mortality and morbidity and infant mortality and morbidity.
“Condom Boxes will be placed at strategic locations (like Heath Facilities, Gram Panchayat Bhavan etc)” said Nadda.
