New Delhi: Before Bihar assembly election Janta Parivar is facing a crucial time. Parivar’s Mukhia Mulayam Singh formula for seat sharing is not suit for both two prospective partners Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav.
The seat sharing issue between JD(U) and RJD in Bihar is proving to be far more contentious than initially anticipated.
A senior Janata Parivar leader told that during the last meeting on 15 Arpil, “Mulayam Singh Yadav had asked Nitish and Lalu to sit together and take a final decesion on internal seat sharing. But that meeting is yet to happen.
In 2010 assembly elections JD(U) had contested 141 seats in alliance with the BJP and won 115. This time wants to contest the same number of seats.
Lalu’s RJD on the other hand had contested 168 seats in alliance with Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP and had won only 22 seats. His wife Rabri Devi had lost elections from both seats she contested.
In the last parliamentary polls,RJD led in 43 assembly segments and came number two in 92 assembly segments. So Lalu is claiming for 135 seats.
