Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal led AAP Government today doubled the salary of anganwadi workers and helpers of the state.
The proposal of hike in the honorarium of the anganwadi staff was approved in Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The Cabinet gave a nod to around 100 per cent hike.
The salary of the workers has been hiked from Rs 5,000 to Rs 9678 per month and helpers to Rs 4839 from Rs. 2,500 per month.
