Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has cropped in the latest Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report put forward in Parliament today.
CAG report has observed that the makers of the film had arranged payments for actors featuring in the abroad portions of the film from foreign companies, thus avoiding tax liability.
Telugu film Nannaku Prematho has also been pulled out for the same offense.
The CAG report said Ranbir received Rs 6.75 crore from ADHM Films (UK) based in London and did not pay service tax of Rs 83.43 lakh, making it look like export of services which are free of tax liability.
“…there is a need to examine the complete loop of transactions between all the parties (Dharma Productions, ADHM Films (UK) and Ranbir Kapoor) to verify if due service tax has been levied in this case or not,” the report said.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was directed by Karan Johar and also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Arbaaz Khan Production, Red Chillies Entertainment and Eros International Media were also mentioned in the report as production houses that require examination.
