Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : National Students Union of India, the students unit of Congress will fight the coming Delhi University students union election for the metro rail concession, fee rationalisation to normalise high fee variation and others demands. Releasing the manifesto today ,the National Incharge Ms Ruchi Gupta, Mr Fairoz Khan National President, Mr Uday Chib State Incharge, Delhi and Mr Akshay Lakra State president, Delhi NSUI highlighted the demand in front of the media.
Ms. Ruchi Gupta said that the students’ body cannot be held accountable for things under UPA rule. She said NSUI wants democracy and freedom on the campus. Fearless movement of the girls students is the priority of the NSUI.Ms Gupta said NSUI will start a english coaching class for the hindi and other local languages students to improve the english.
National President Mr Fairoz mentioned how NSUI wants to be a bridge and facilitator between the first year students and university administration. He mentioned how NSUI wants to encourage exchange programmes between different colleges under Delhi University. He also mentioned how NSUI stands strongly opposed to privatization of colleges by giving them autonomy to things on their own. He stressed upon building of hostels by University administration so as to provide affordable accommodation for outstation students. He promised that NSUI will restart U-Special buses that were started under the term of former NSUI DUSU committee members. He closed the press conference by saying that Delhi University is for each and every student.
