New Delhi: Highlighting the one-year performance of Narendra Modi government Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday attacked on opposition paries and said that sentiments have changed from despair to hope in the last one year . “There has been transparency in the decisions that have been taken by this government,” Jaitley said, stressing there was absolute clarity on vision. FM Jaitley addressed a press conference to mark one year of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
Highlighting PM Modi’s mantra of cooperative development, Jaitley said the government was committed to better Centre-state coordination.
Misuse of investigative agencies is a thing of the past, the finance minister said, adding there was no major case of graft in the past year.
On controversial land acquisition bill he said that our target for next session of Parliament is passing the land bill.Touching upon the contentious piece of legislation that stalled proceedings in the budget session following protests by the Opposition.
“There’s absolute clarity where the Modi govt wants to go. The direction is growth and development.”
Talking about Modi’s foreign tours, he said the PM visited to 18 countries in one year. “Our diplomacy has created a new place for India,” Jaitley said.
-Replying to questions raised by journalists during the press conference on ITR, Jaitley says, personally I do not agree that ITR forms should be 12 and half pages long. It needs to be simplified. MAT issues will be resolved through judicial procedure.
