PATNA : Police to lodge an FIR against Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta -brand ambassadors of Nestle India -following a complaint filed in the court in Bihar. Lawyer alleging that he fell ill after eating Maggi. Adding to the filmstars’ troubles in the ongoing Maggi row, the court asked the police to arrest them, if required.
Muzaffarpur additional chief judicial magistrate Ramchandra Prasad ordered the SHO of Kazi Mohammadpur police station to also name as accused Nestle India’s MD Mohan Gupta and joint director Sabab Alam.
In a petition to the court on Monday , the complainant, Sudheer Kumar Ojha, alleged that he fell ill after eating Maggi which he had purchased from a shop at Lenin Chowk in Muzaffarpur on May 30 . He said he had to consult a doctor, who told him that Maggi noodles contain harmful elements and this had been proved in a chemical analysis in UP.
Nestle’s Maggi issue is snowballing into a bigger controversy. The Nestle India officials met with the Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain earlier today and gave their representations, after certain Maggi samples were found to be unsafe by the Delhi authorities. The authorities who had already filed a complaint against the makers of Maggi, said proceedings will start from today.
