Janjivan Bureau /New Delhi: Ex-professor of English department of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Prof Amarnath Jha, has been honoured with lifetime achievement award by the association of English Studies of India at the inaugural ceremony of 62 All India English teachers conference held at Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Professor Jha has vast teaching experience in India and abroad. He has supervised number of PhD students in India as well as in Republic of Yemen. He has got number of research works published in Indian journals and journals abroad.
He has translated some short stories from Maithili to English and it has been published in Sahitya Akademi’s contemporary Maithili short stories.
Meanwhile, Prof. Ashok Kumar Bachchan, professor of English at Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga has been elected as chairman of Association of English Studies of India.
