New Delhi: Congress crack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that BJP became the Bhrashtachar Jagao Party. Modi government is the gathering of tainted persons. But, came down heavily on Lalit Modi and the ruling BJP camp after the former IPL chief tweeted that he met Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra in London.
Lalit Modi had tweeted on Wednesday night, “Happy to meet the Gandhi family… in London. I had run into Robert and Priyanka separately”.
Taking a dig at the Narendra Modi government, Congress senior spokesperson C P Joshi said it was a case of ‘chhota Modi’ helping ‘bada Modi’ ( PM Narendra Modi) with lies”.Modi was working at the behest of the BJP to divert attention to “non-issues” and reiterated the opposition’s demand for the resignation of Swaraj and Raje for their help to the ex-IPL chief.
He insisted neither Priyanka nor her husband ever interacted socially with Modi and said that running into anybody in a restaurant is not a crime.
The BJP-led government at the Centre is battling a political storm after allegations that Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje had signed an affidavit backing Modi’s British immigration appeal. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj too is under the cloud for backing Modi’s request for British travel documents.
Attacking on Vasundhara Raje, Joshi said tha health department of Government of Rajasthan signed an MoU dated 2 October 2014 with Champalimaud Foundation that would effectively provide it favour worth hundreds of crores. According to MoU 8.7 acres of prime land worth hundred of crores in Jaipur to the Champalimaud Foundation. Government bearing the entire cost of civil construction of the project of Champalimaud Foundation.Entire machine and equipment cost, para medical/administration staff pay of Champalimaud Foundation will be paid by government.
