Janjivan Bureau / Srinagar : Jammu & Kashmir Governor NN Vohra recommended Governor’s rule in the state on Tuesday evening after Bharatiya Janata Party pulled out of the state government, forcing Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to step down.
Vohra took his decision in consultation with all political parties in the state and sent a report to President for imposition of Governor’s rule in J&K. No political party has staked claim to form government in the state.
Governor Vohra has asked Mufti to continue in office until other arrangements are made.
