Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a daylong visit to the state on Thursday handed over homes built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna to lakhs of beneficiaries in Gujrat’s Valsad. Speaking at the event, PM Modi said he dreams of every family having a home of its own by 2022, the year India will celebrate its 75 years of independence.
PM also inaugurated various projects in Junagadh, including a newly-built hospital of the Gujarat Medical and Education Research Society and two fisheries colleges at Veraval town in the Gir Somnath district.
PM Modi laid the foundation stone of a Rs 586 crore water supply scheme, Astol group water supply scheme, for the benefit of interior villages in Kaprada region in Valsad district. He will also address a public gathering here.
