Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned to second week of January 2019 hearing on petitions challenging constitutional validity of Article 35 A.
The SC said, “We do not want to precipitate matter when (Panchayat) elections are due.”
The SC commenced the hearing on petitions challenging constitutional validity of Article 35A of the Constitution that grants certain special privileges to the residents of the state.

The Centre and Jammu and Kashmir government told the top court that hearing at this juncture will create a law and order problem in the state.
