Janjivan Bureau/ Gorakhpur : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with health officials of Gorakhpur and Basti commissionerates and Baba Raghavdas Medical College, Gorakhpur. He asked to ensure 100% success of Communicable Disease Control Campaign from July 1 to July 31.
During the review meeting, CM Yogi warned all the health officials that no negligence in health services will be tolerated, and those who are careless would be subjected to severe penalties. CM reviewed the preparations for the ongoing health services and virus-borne diseases from the health officials of seven districts.
CM Yogi gave strict instructions to all Health Officials to ensure the presence of doctors and nursing staff along with medicines, beds and necessary medical equipment in CHC, PHC and District Hospitals,. CM directed to minimize the ambulance response time and to reach the patient in the shortest possible time. If any patient dies because of an ambulance not being able to pick the patient then strict action will be taken against him, the CM said.
He also instructed to ensure cleanliness and availability of clean drinking water in hospitals. The Chief Minister said that all the health centers should have a proper system of prevention of spreading of the virus, because the sick person first approaches the nearest health center.
CM Yogi clearly said that awareness program should be taken up as a campaign. There should not be any hindrance in making the communicable disease control campaign and operation “Dastak Abhiyan” a success. This program will be monitored continuously. CM said that during a meeting in Lucknow, instructions have been given to BSA and DIOS of all districts regarding communicable disease control campaign and that they should meet all the Principals in advance so that this campaign can be made successful.
CM further said that 12 departments have been included in the Communicable Disease Control Campaign and health department has been made the Nodal department. All these departments will work in coordination with each other.
CM Yogi also said that the staff, nurses, medical officers should be trained in all the PICU and mini PICUs. CM said that every Gram Panchayat has been given untied fund, the CMO should review its use per month, spraying of medicines everywhere should be done regularly and there should not be any garbage anywhere.
CM Yogi cautioned health officials against encephalitis and said that they should be fully alert about the disease. He also said that if a patient comes from Bihar, Nepal or any other place outside of UP, then he should be treated with complete diligence. CM said that if patients come to hospitals in UP, from anywhere, it is our responsibility to help them recover from ill health. There should be no negligence of any kind in it. CM said, ‘the way in which we have been able to control encephalitis, we should further move towards total elimination of encephalitis by speeding up the campaign and every officer from health department should be ready for it.
Taking the issue of the death of a patient after not getting an ambulance on time in Gola in district, Gorakhpur very seriously, CM Yogi directed the concerned CMO, to take stringent action against the guilty so that such incidents are not repeated in future.
CM Yogi instructed the Health Department officials to go to all the CHC / PHC and district hospitals to inspect them. CM asked them to immediately fix the shortcomings they discover during the inspection and take strict action against the careless employees.
CM Yogi said that the cleanliness mechanism of BRD Medical College campus should be in order and for this, all the concerned cleaning personnel should be held accountable. CM said that everyone should be sensitive towards the patients. No patient should die in the absence of treatment and medication. He also instructed to complete the construction of the buildings under the medical college in a time-bound manner and to give special emphasis on the quality of work
