Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : In fresh trouble for the beleaguered Congress, Jyotiraditya Scindia has removed the party’s name from his Twitter bio. The new bio said only “public servant and cricket enthusiast”.
The editing of Twitter bio by Scindia who is AICC general secretary in-charge of West Uttar Pradesh, is significant in that it makes a point to the party.
Scindia has been at loggerheads with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath and has been vying to be the state unit president.
Nath is currently both state chief and CM, even though Congress has repeatedly laid down an official policy of one person one post.
Power struggle in Madhya Pradesh however continues with former state CM Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath working today control the organisation as well as the government.
Scindia had openly backed the Abrogation of Article 370 by the BJP government setting the tone for more party leaders to speak in “national interest”.
Scindia, a close friend of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, is learnt to have expressed his displeasure at the MP state of affairs by changing his Twitter profile to “public servant and public enthusiast.”
