Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : The total number of coronavirus cases in India has climbed to 724 today. More than 85 cases were reported from the various parts of the country on Thursday — highest official single-day count so far. Out of the total patients, 677 are Indians and 47 are foreign nationals.
3 COVID-19 Pune patients test negative, to go home
Three COVID-19 patients from Pimpri Chinchwad area in Pune district, whose repeat samples tested negative on Thursday, will be discharged from the hospital on Friday, an official said.
Pimpri Chinchwad has so far recorded 12 coronavirus positive cases, the official said, adding that no new case was detected in the last seven days.
The government on Friday said it has taken several steps to ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen to hospitals.
These steps were taken by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO), which is an arm of the Commerce and Industry Ministry.
Fresh coronavirus cases reported in Bihar, 9 afflicted
Three fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported from Bihar in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of those who have tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 to nine, the health department said on Friday.
Karnataka reports third COVID-19 death
In the third COVID-19 fatality in Karnataka, a 65-year-old man who tested had positive for the coronavirus infection died in Tumakuru on Friday, a senior district official said.
The person had no travel history to any foreign country, but had gone to Delhi and returned by train earlier this month, following which he developed certain symptoms, the official said.
A 70-year old woman and a 76-year old man had died due to COVID-19 earlier in the state.
Six new corona positive cases in TN, total goes up to 35
The total number of coronavirus positive cases went up to 35 with six new cases being reported in Tamil Nadu, said National Health Mission-Tamil Nadu.
