Janjivan Bureau / Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed to sanitize all the houses in the hotspot areas during the review of districts with hotspots here on Tuesday. CM Yogi has further given orders to the officials to start activities in green and orange zones by making an action plan. The CM directed the officers to select women self-help groups for the manufacture of masks in the state, said Additional Chief Secretary, Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi during a press conference that he held jointly with Principal Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad at Lok Bhawan here on Tuesday.
ACS Home said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday reviewed the situation of lockdown in the state with senior officials of Team-11. The Chief Minister also directed that the lockdown should be followed seriously.
ACS Home said that after the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the process of sending 10 thousand students studying in Prayagraj to their home districts has started. By Tuesday evening, 80 buses had been dispatched with 2500 students to their respective districts. Every bus is accommodating 30 students. He said that health check-up has also been conducted of all these students, and later their medical tests will be done at their home districts.
ACS Home said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, special nodal officers have been deployed in 18 districts. In this order, CM Yogi has also ordered deployment of a police and senior officer in Hapur, Varanasi, Rampur, Muzaffarnagar and Aligarh on Tuesday. He said that misleading and baseless information are being spread about the PPE kits used by the Health Department.
ACS Home said that before Covid-19 cases were reported in the state, the use of PPE kits available for the existing S1, S2 was started. It was bought in October 2019 for Rs 115. At the time of the Covid crisis, these PPE kits were made available to the health workers for their immediate protection. However as soon as PPE kits became available as per standard for Covid, the PPE kits of S1, S2 were recalled. The new kits cost over Rs 1100. He said that the matter is being investigating regarding who is responsible for spreading this misleading and baseless information about the PPE kits.

Principal Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that 2043 cases have been reported so far in the state. There are 1612 active cases. After treatment, 400 out of 2043 patients have recovered fully and have been sent home. However, the death toll has reached 31. Total 60 districts of the state have been affected by Corona of which 7 districts have been successful in becoming Corona free currently. No Corona cases have been reported in 15 districts so far. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 8,000 beds are being increased in L-1 hospitals, he said.
Principal Secretary Health said that the work of forming a committee for monitoring and prevention of medical infection in each district is almost complete. This committee will work under the supervision of Additional Chief Medical Officer. The committee will have representatives from district hospital, women’s hospital, IMA, WHO, UNICEF and Pollution Control Board as members. He said that 11725 people have been placed in medical quarantine and 1764 in isolation. On Monday, 2900 samples were sent for testing, altogether 4384 samples have been tested along with the previous samples.
