Arvind Kejriwal stopped From Entering Dadri Village, Lalu says not eat beef

Basera: Villagers stopped Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today from entering Basera village in Dadri. He had gone to meet the family of Mohammad Ikhlaq, who was killed by a mob earlier this week allegedly over rumours that he had eaten beef. RJD chief Lalu Prasad said not to eat beef. Police said they had not stopped the Chief Minister but ‘advised’ him against visiting the village for his own safety.
Lalu said do not eat beef, so many deasesed are caused by eating meat. On the incident of Dadri Lalu said people are avoid meat.
Mr Kejriwal who was accompanied by Aam Aadmi Party leaders Sanjay Singh and Kumar Vishwas was taken to a government guest-house.
A group of villagers led by women complain that their daily life has been hit by the constant stream of politicians, their entourage and media.
Yesterday, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi and local lawmaker Mahesh Sharma of the BJP visited the village.
50-year-old Mohammad Ikhlaq was beaten to death by a mob in Dadri on the outskirts of Delhi on Monday night. He and his 22-year-old son were dragged from their house by around 100 villagers and beaten with bricks. Ikhlaq’s son is critical.
Half an hour before the attack, an announcement was allegedly made at a temple nearby that a calf had been slaughtered and its carcass had been found near a transformer.
No names were taken in the announcement, but there are only two Muslim families in the area and the other family was out.
The police are investigating who started the rumours in a part of western Uttar Pradesh that is prone to trouble at the slightest provocation.
