Patna : Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for his beef remark, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday attacked him for his silence on the Dadri lynching incident and alleged that he was attempting to add communal texture to the Bihar assembly polls.
“The real Modi on display-brazen attempt to add communal texture to Bihar polls, but deafening silence on deplorable incidence of Dadri,” Nitish said in a tweet.
“All to see why Vajpayee ji was forced to remind him to follow Raj Dharma, but wonder who will do the Vajpayee today,” he added.
Addressing a rally in Munger, Prime Minister Modi had criticised Lalu’s beef remark, saying he insulted the entire ‘Yaduvanshi’ community.
“The Yaduvanshis in Gujarat brought the white revolution in the country. They made Gujarat a centre of white revolution by following the tradition of cow-keeping (Gau palak) of lord Krishna, but a leader (Lalu) here doesn’t know what all he ate. He has insulted the Yadav community by commenting about what they eat,” he said.
With just three days remaining for the campaigning for phase one to conclude, leaders from all political parties are making all attempts to woo the voters in the state.
