Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the results for Class 12 exams 2022, the pass percentage this year dropped to 92.71 per cent.
Trivandrum has the highest pass percentage of 98.83 per cent, Bengaluru is second with a pass percentage of 98.16 per cent. Chandigarh and Panchkula have secured seventh and eighth position with 95.98 and 94.08 per cent.
Chennai, Delhi East and Delhi West are among the top five regions. Prayagraj has the lowest pass percentage of 83.71 per cent. The overall pass percentage stood at 92.71 per cent this year.
While last year the result was declared on basis of a special assessment scheme as exams could not be conducted due to the pandemic, this year the exams were conducted in two terms.
The pass percentage in 2020 was 88.78 per cent while in 2019, it was 83.40 per cent, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said.
The board did not announce a merit list this year as well. It discontinued the merit lists from 2020 when the schools were closed due to pandemic.
