PATNA: Dal men kuch kala hai and Dal nahi Gal Rahi Hai are using generally by common peaople. Now Bihari Babu an unhappy BJP MP on Friday expressed concern over the spiralling price of pulses and asked the Narendra Modi government to take urgent steps to check it. He also said that the unprecedented rise in the price of pulses has happened soon after the onion process brought tears in the eyes of people.
“Dal prices touch Rs 200. Urgent steps required by centre to contain this! We have seen the tears that onion prices have brought in the past,” Sinha, Lok Sabha member from Bihar’s Patna Sahib Constituency and a former union minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, said in a series of tweets posted on Friday.
Sinha created a flutter in the state’s political circles and left everybody guessing abut his ‘loyalty’ in the Bihar assembly polls after he, in another tweet, said, “I pray the election results are also in favour of those that will propel our Bihar on the road of true progress.”
“This is a festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil, right over wrong, truth over falsehood and humility over arrogance,” Sinha, popularly known as Bihari Babu, said in another tweet.
Famous for openly admitting his ‘personal relation’ with the BJP’s political adversaries like RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Sinha has been blowing hot and cold with the leadership of the saffron party ever since he won the 2014 Lok Sabha polls from Patna Sahib seat. Ignored by the BJP leadership during selection of candidates for Bihar assembly polls, Sinha had met both Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad on a couple of occasions a few months ago. He had also praised Nitish for development works. Sinha’s meeting with Lalu and Nitish created ripples in BJP circles.
Though BJP recently included Sinha’s name in the list of its 40 star campaigners for Bihar polls, he was not sent to campaign in the state till the end of second phase of polling on October 16.
