Janjivan Bureau/NEW DELHI: Sulabh International Museum of Water Education was inaugurated in national capital to mark the birthday of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
The museum, first of its kind in Delhi was inaugurated by the Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad in presence of senior officials and other eminent personalities.
This museum is located inside lush green campus of Sulabh International, aims to highlight various aspect of Water Education , research and create awareness among people about its uses.
This initiative has been taken to create awareness among the people regarding diminishing water resources and the need for conservation.
Sulabh International, a pioneer Non governmental Organisations,has taken an initiative to set up museum of Water education to raise awareness among people on the conservation of the natural resource.
The purpose of the museum is to explain the visitors’ importance of conserving water resources and also provide a possible solution, traditional and modern water management practices. “Experts from the field of Water education and resources are being consulted for this project,” said man behind setting up of this museum,Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak , Founder of Sulabh International. “It’s beginning of the unique museum and will approach various water resources organisations across globe to collect information and pictures, datas,”says Dr. Pathak.
Apart from Toilets, Sulabh international is also doing remarkable work in the field of water as well.
