Minapur (Muzaffarpur), : Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday highlighted Minister of State for External Affairs General (Retd.) V.K. Singh’s dog remark in the wake of the murder of two Dalit children in Haryana, saying some call Bihar the ‘jungle raj’ but this incident reflected the ‘mangal raj’ in the BJP-ruled state.
“The people voted for them in Haryana and helped them form the government. What happened there? Dalit kids were burnt in Haryana. If there is ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar then isn’t Haryana witnessing ‘ mangal raj’,” he said while addressing a rally here.
“A central minister has said that the Centre is blamed even if a stone is pelted on a dog. Can you just imagine the mindset of such people, who compare the killing of two innocent Dalit kids with a stone being pelted at a dog,” he added.
Continuing his tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his DNA jibe, Nitish said the people of Bihar would not have imposed their faith in him had his DNA been bad.
“The Prime Minister said in Muzaffarpur that my DNA was bad. If my DNA was bad then why you (the people of Bihar) made me the Chief Minister for ten long years. My DNA is the same as that of any Bihari,” he said.
The Chief Minister asserted that the recent uncalled for comments being made by the BJP leaders reflected their desperation as they could not digest the fact that they would lose the battle in Bihar.
