After phase three of ensuing Bihar election, Is there any jittery in NDA camp? As a seasoned politicians leaders may have their own thought about prospect of BJP led NDA in state. However, bureaucrats who also work with leaders of NDA government at centre have their own view on battle going in Bihar. “A fight which was earlier thought to be smooth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi leadership has turned out to be a bitter war for NDA” said a close aid of a top leader of alliance’s partner of NDA on the request of anonymity. “Indeed the statements given by RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat (he was referring statements made on reservation policy of Government jobs) and by other BJP hot liners after Dadri lynching have a role in Bihar election in turning table towards ‘Mahagatbandhan’ of JD(U), RJD and Congress” accepted the add. Now the situation has come at a stage, where any alliance could win with a margin of 20 to 25 seats.
Even babus at lower rung in the Ministries allotted to NDA partners have equally anxious to know about fate of alliance in Bihar election. They ask frequent questions about possible outcome of mammoth exercise being run in state by election commission. “Officers and employees of Bihar do not want to see Modi’s man in state. They have enjoyed power under Nitish rule and want to continue power in their hands” said an employees who also guard the office of one of Minister of NDA Government at Centre from unwanted visitors. Showing unhappiness over the stringent measures being taken on bureaucracy by Modi Government at centre he said “officers and babus know that if NDA comes in power in State all the tactics will be employed on state’s bureaucracy too.”
Queries not only come from close associates of Ministers but also from others bureaucrats who are attached with Ministers and come from other states. “They know the result of Bihar will decide the future working of PM Modi at centre” said a source who had working experience of over 20 years in Ministries and have seen many Government in the past.
