Patna: Highlighting the short comings of the Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) Government in Bihar, Union Finance Minster Arun Jaitley on Saturday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will bring stability in the state politics.
He also expressed confidence of BJP’s victory in the ongoing Bihar Assembly polls.
“According to our assessment, we have an advantage and are leading. BJP will bring stability in Bihar’s politics. We will work towards good governance and development. In the previous JD (U) regime, there was no stability either in governance or politics,” Jaitley said at a press conference here. He said that the JD (U) government in the state was working on a ‘primitive model’ and lacked long term goals.
“JD (U) which earlier fought against corrupt parties is now forced to stand with them due to the opportunistic Mahagatbandhan,” he added. Jaitley also said that lack of employment opportunities in Bihar had forced the youth to leave the state in search of jobs.
