Janjivan Bureau / New Delhi : The BJP on Monday slams MP Kangana Ranaut on controversial remarks on the farmers’ protest and said she has been directed to not make such remarks in future. The BJP has clarified that Kangana Ranaut is not authorised to speak on policy matters for the party. This statement follows a controversy sparked by her comments on the farmers’ protest. The BJP emphasised that her views do not reflect those of the party.
The BJP’s disapproval came after the 38-year-old actress suggested that the farmers’ protest could have led to a crisis similar to Bangladesh’s situation if not for the government’s strong measures. This remark triggered significant backlash and prompted the party to issue a clarification.
“Kangana Ranaut is not authorised to speak on policy matters on behalf of the party and has not been given permission to do so. The BJP has directed Ms Ranaut to refrain from making such statements in the future,” stated the BJP. This directive aims to prevent further misrepresentation of the party’s stance on sensitive issues.
